Alcide Anthony Marchesich
September 30, 1952 - February 23, 2001
Cid's favorite song (the one they didn't play at his funeral).
My Ode to Cid
Oh my Darling
You took my heart and flew away
over that coulee and into the sky.
We soar and swoop and laugh at the wind
Your eyes, your eyes - I fall into them.
And in my dreams I laugh with you
And I feel your fingers in my hair.
Your lips are soft and they taste so sweet
Your arms around me make me complete.
You tell me once more, don't be afraid
You are just a breath away.
You dance on a sunbeam and sing with the moon
Your love, it surrounds me, I'm in a cocoon.
The journey without you is long and it's hard
But someday, I know, the struggle will end.
We'll laugh, we'll sing, we'll be together again
Bright eyes, bright eyes - I'll fall into them.

So handsome. And that smile!
You're such a lovely friend, Aims.
That's a beautiful song for a beautiful man. Thankyou for sharing your photographs of Cid, I can see why you loved him and that's just the outside.
Thank you for sharing those photos Aims he looks every bit as special as you portrayed him in your writing.
This is a beautiful tribute to a very special man.
And thank you so much for sharing this with us.
God bless and take care.

He is not at all how I pictured him to be, but he is certainly a very handsome man and what a wonderful smile he has and such kind eyes. The song is very lovely and I am glad that you know at least that this was his favorite song. I'm glad I have a face to put with the name now.
He looks so gorgeous aims. Beautiful song too. I feel for you.
Years ago an old girl friend, the only one i was on speaking terms with, committed suicide after falling out with her boy friend. At her funeral they played Elton Johns "Candle in the wind" not a dry eye in the place.
I have an award for you at my place in recognition of the pleasure (and pain) your writing has given me.
What a lovely looking man he was, just as kind and warm looking as I'd imagined him. And so young.
I'm glad you put his song here.
He was even more good looking than I imagined. It seems as though all the goodness inside of him is bursting out all over his face with that wonderful smile and such beautiful eyes. God bless you always Cid, I wish I could have known you. Take care aims
aims, baby, is that not the same song as "Bright Eyes, burning like fire," etc.?
He has the most wonderful smile, and he has lived on in your memories, and now, through your writing, in all of ours as well. It is great to know what he looks like, have a face to put to the story. (Story is the wrong word, but I can't come up with the right word - sorry).
He looked such a lovely man. Such a waste, isn't it when they die young.
Lovely tribute.
What an absolutely beautiful Man! I like him ... a lot!
Thank you for sharing the treasure of Cid with my personal world. You have enhanced my Being, and the space that I dwell in.
I love you (Ya know)
Handsome man. He looks like such a gentle soul in these pictures. I really like the words to that song.
What a handsome man. Beautiful smile. Wonderful tribute.
Nice to have a face to go with the story. I'm sorry for all the pain.
He looks beautiful, what kind eyes, I'm sorry you didn't have that song at the funeral it will play in your heart for him forever MH
I agree, it's wonderful to put a face, with such a fabulous smile, to the name. Beautifully expressed, aims, and a fitting tribute to a wonderful soul. M xx
