Other Reasons to Visit New Orleans

Most of you know that The Man and I are big basketball fans. Our team is of course the New Orleans Hornets.

In the Mardi Gras Parade. I think I went hoarse cheering for the float!

Here’s a look at center court.

And the view from where we sat.

Some of the action in one of the 5 games we attended in the two weeks we were there.

And last but certainly not least – our favourite player – Chris Paul.

Although Chris is out with injuries – he still attends every game and gets into the action with his opinions. Chris is considered one of the best point guards there are and his efforts to help New Orleans are phenomenal. Here is one athlete who gives back!

I know nothing of basket ball...... absolutely nothing. However, you seemed to have a good view.
Pleased that you had such a good time.

Nuts in May

We are into basketball in a very big way! Not only do we have a favourite team but I certainly have some other (very good looking) favourite players.

Fortunately for me - The Man takes my drooling over the 7 foot players very well. Sometimes he throws me a towel.

We get to see 'some' of the games in Canada via League Pass. That doesn't cover all of the games - they have to be shown on some channels for us to be able to get them via internet.

We don't really have a television to watch here at the barn. Our satellite has been fighting with growing trees for a couple of years now and neither of us wants to go onto the roof to find the perfect spot for the dish. :0)
Therefore - what comes across the internet is the only time we can get it. Drats.

It looks like you had a really lovely time. Just watched The Librarian film on TV which was set in New Orleans. I thought of you immediately. I loved the look of the old part with wrought iron balconies.
